Went to the shell garage to fill up with Optimax (Again), when a 03 STI pulled up at the pump next to me and my UK300. We were chatting about how great the scoobs are etc. I went in to pay and the 2 people inside (1 female, 1 male)said "yours is much nicer, the front end on the STI is not as nice" That made my day! I've always thought the same, but felt a bit biased conidering I owned the UK300. To hear other people say that as well is great. Just goes to show what a different set of headlights can do.
Let's hear it for the bug eyes!!!!

Had exactly this happen last week. Stopped at the Optimax pump just as a UK300 was pulling away. Gave him a quick flash of the lights, then as I got out, one of a group of three kids sitting on the fence shouted "Look, a real Subaru!"

Had a bugeye well, it did have morettes on! now have a classic, both excellent cars, but the classic just takes it for me. IMHO.

bug eye with morettes does it for me - nicer interior and far far better ride but horrible headlights until changed for the morettes..

Anyone want to buy a set of bug eye headlights? I just happen to have some....

ive got both classic (type r) and bugeye
i love the refinemet of the bugey but the rawness if the classic
front view moretts on the bug looks exellent the side view those flared arches are the best
the classic its what it is classic but i dont like the image its getting .. shame realy ... but things move on ....
