Question

John,

Is your Sti faster than the Westfield you had ? There is a debate at work on this and did the R1 get passed you.

PS What do you do for a livivng. The Westfield Clan at work want to know ??

And will you be going to the Ring next May? as they seem to think that you will be following them ?!

You are Joking? Of course its not faster, my westfield had 470BHP/tonne compared to 258BHP/tonne of my STi.

"and did the R1 get passed you."

It wasnt a race, it was a lap Joerund and I decided to do in order to compare a superbike to a very fast car. from 2/3 of the lap my car went to low boost as the solonoid wire came off, so its starts at around 330BHP then drops to 250BHP, thats why you see the R1 sudenly not needing to use so much revs. That was very early days for me at the ring too, i would be 30 seconds faster now at least in that car. My 30th lap i think.

"PS What do you do for a livivng. The Westfield Clan at work want to know ??"

Not sure why? But at the moment nothing, i took voluntary redundancy in april and have taken time out, i work in IT on large databases and servers when i am not working on race/rally cars.

"And will you be going to the Ring next May? as they seem to think that you will be following them ?!"

Not sure what that means?
