According to the 'instructions' for my MY03 WRX, it needs 98 RON fuel to give its full 225 BHP. Anyone know what the reduction in BHP will be when running of standard 95 RON unleaded?

Also, how long does the adaptive knock control take to adjust to the higher RON fuel (after the car has been run on standard unleaded)?

When i first bought the car i put 95 ron in and it ran like crap, almost like i had no turbo (but i only put £30 in)

As soon as i emptied it and put some optimax it, everything felt so much smoother/more powerfull
