....saw a new 03 Impreza sport on a forecourt today in a real eye catching blue colour. It looked fantastic in this shade of blue....what is it? I havn't seen this shade before. Wasn't as dark as the Mica Blue and wasn't the WRX Blue.
Is this shade of blue available in the new WRX?

Smurfy if it was a Sport then it's called, according to the brochure :-

Reddish Blue Metallic.

I kid you not. That is how they list it.

The WRX is listed as WR Blue Mica.

It might be to special order on the WRX but I doubt it.

I have a Blackish Graphitey WRX Wagon with Goldy flecks.

....I have seen the 'blackish graphitey' colour...it looks good too...but a job to keep clean?
This 'Reddish Blue' looked supurb especially in the sunlight...much nicer the the WR Blue IMO and in the opinion of my friend who was with me at the time.

I have a classic in Mica Red which on a cloudy day looks just dark red, but in sunlight looks absoluteley delicious as the 'gold flecks' shine thru'.

I had a reddish-blue MY98 - looked the absolute nuts and everyone loved it's colour. Pity it was dropped.

Wonder who has it now ? Come back R297 - I miss you.....

I saw a Mica Red at the London Motor Show all lit up under spot lights.Looked like it was on fire.Really nice, even from the other side of the hall it was like molten lava.

Just looked at Reddish Blue Metallic on Subaru website (used car search) and its very similar to Deep Blue Mica.

It is absolutely nothing like the Reddish Blue as seen on MY98 cars, which was similar to Sonic-ish...
