Popped into my local Scooby dealership last Tuesday as I noticed that they had an STI8 up for grabs (rubs hands together in anticipation)

Bought my MY02 WRX last December with the following

UK300 Rear Spoiler, Prodrive front lower lip, colour coded side sills, Morettes (sp?), WR Sport Back Box, Lowered suspension kit and Prodrive FF7's with P-zeros

All for the princely sum of 22.5k

Have been feeling like I need more power lately so I enquired about part-ex on said STI with PPP fitted and was told I'd be looking at about 14k for mine

Is it me or is this feeling that I've just had my ***** ripped off and handed to me for real?

btw the car is now 9 months old and has done 6k miles!

Ohh yes i bet that hurt, i bet they didnt even use Vaseline when they shafted you,£14k, i would keep the car and get it Ecuteked and enjoy the extra power.
Ask yourself do you really want to lose £8.5k, me thinks not.

Pulleyns in York may do you a good deal. Ask for Derek - 01904 690742.

I've no connection with them, but I got a great deal against a new WRX recently, PX'd my 00MY. Also they had a couple of 8's in when I last visited.

Was in the same predicament, but decided not to give them the benifit, There's Plenty of mods on the market that will give you the power / handling and style you want from your car and best of all you get to choose!

14K is taking the pi$$ tbh.

keep it! , mod it and enjot it.

Thumbs down

Some dealers do take then p*ss: we went to look a t a Diesel Polo in exchange for a Xantia 2.0HDi, with a genuine 15000 miles and unmarked.
Dealer refuses to budge on the price of the VW, and offers £2600 for our car

SEAT dealer offered £4000 for our car, and dropped price of Ibiza TDi as well:

£2600 is well off the mark unless of course the Polo was super cheap

Hmmmm me thinks he wants to sell me an STI!!

Blokey I spoke to about the above has just rang me and asked if I'd like to attend a day at Rockingham driving STI's.

Apparently they're also gonna have "professional" drivers there to take attendees out and really show what they can do!!

Would I like to go? Hell yeah

This is sound advice.

Think about it.

Wink

You must have a Bugeye then! They were the worst cars to buy when it comes to resale. You see people didn't like them very much when they were new and even less when they know they can get a blobeye now. Classics can fetch nearly that much money, but then again they are prettier.

Does that help!
