Another reason to have a house alarm??? Extra zone covering the garage...Get into my house and alarm goes off, go into the garage and alarm goes off..
Most knobbers on the sly will case the joint see the alarm on house and not bother. Most houses in our area have alarms following a spate of breakins - once the alarms were fitted the breakin's ceased and i guess they moved onto another area.
What you have to be wary of deliberate car alarm activations..seen this before..they keep setting your alarm off on the car until you switch it off for the night and leave it off..Then they breakin to the car and steal it.
