Could anyone shed some light on exhausts for the wrx03,I fancy a back box for my car and was told I had to fit the prodrive backbox @£350 ,further investigation ive heard the exhaust is manufactured by Scorpion,so I did some digging and they retail at about £200,but I cannot fit this pipe due to the warranty.Contacted subaru in the midlands and found out that subaru do there own performance pipe similiar to the prodrive one but not in stainless at a much reduced cost,how come this cheaper alternative is not broadcast by subaru.

I have a 6x4 Magnex, sounds nice and fits well.

swap it back to the original if you have a un-lightly problem with the warranty.

Heard a rumour that change of backbox does not invalidate warranty.
Can anyone else confirm this.

Your dealer should not have any problems with an after market backbox, but check first.

I've got the prodrive backbox and it is very well made, plus fully EC type-marked/stamped etc. Insurance had no problems with it as it was an official Subaru approved product.

I never had any problems with a scoobysport backbox on my MY00 either, so you really pays your money and takes yer choice. I would check with your dealer about other backbox tho, just to be triple sure!
