I have recently bought an import wrx v limited and when I pick the car up it had a turbo timer in the glove box and the guy said it had been taken of when it came into the country, it has a 4 pin plug and a black spade connector on the end of the cable, but could anyone please tell me were to plug it in as I have looked but can't see were.

Any help is much appriciated.

If its got a wiring harness with it then this needs to be plugged in between the ignition harness wirng loom. Simply split it and plug it in between. Its under the steering column. On mine i've also got a purple speed sensor wire which goes to the ECU and a brown wire that goes to the handbrake.
These are safety devices. When i got mine it was also in the glove box but it was also taken out import reasons.
If yours has already been plugged in before then the purple and brown wires might have been chopped to save dismantling them and you might be able to just re-connect them.
The ECU by the is under the passenger footwell carpet.

Forgot to say that the black wire will be your earth wire.
