Each sticker adds 10bhp, a well known fact.

There's a lad who works for me with a 1.1 saxo and he's just lowered it, alloy wheeled it and backboxed it.

But he loves it and that's what counts......plus it keeps hiom off street corners pestering pedestrians with foul language !!

Skoosh, debadged wagon.

I was the same at 17, so was my Dad and so will your children. There is nothing wrong with taking pride in your car, be it a 1.4 escort or a 22b Impreza they are someones pride & joy.
It does annoy me to read people taking the **** out of teenagers cars.

You really need to up the dose of your medication!

WOW is that really Solberg's car in the link above? I mean,it would be a bit daft for someone to put a sticker on their car if that wasn't what was inside, wouldn't it??

Max Power has got loads to do with the styling these days especially with the teenage lads.
Deffo not to my tastes, awfully styled body kits neons etc....but they like them!
It's up to them, their car etc.....i think it's just the 'IN THING' to do to your car, especially if they go to these cruises etc...

Got to laugh at some of the cars though, even though they have spend ££££ on them, they look awfull to ME!

hehe i quite like the UFO look, green neons my favourite. - I actually have no intention of fitting any, but i think some of the more stylish mods like the halo headlight etc that are much more in line with the cars already aggressive look, do complement it quite a lot.

I think that Catalunyas original point was that the Saxo was wearing badges of manufacturers that make products for Jap cars.

AFAIK, HKS, Blitz et al don't make Saxo products so why wear the badges other than to be ridiculed?

Beats me that's why my Impreza looks totally standard.

Well i guess, just because i dont particularly understand why you'd want to put stickers on a scoob any more than I understand why the saxo kid did Slapped the jap stickers on doesnt mean that I or anyone else should be judge and jury on what's tasteful when stuck on a car!

It obviously pleased him, does it make it less legitimate because you or i dont understand his logic?

In fact I/you/We are all probably way out of our league of understanding whats 'wicked good' when there's 1.7 MILLION max power readers who think the saxo kid probably looked 'phat', when compared to a couple of thousand scoob owners. John Coffey/Greasmonkey hit the nail on the head.
That car was probably some poor kids absolute pride and joy. If my son grows up and takes pride in any car he'd worked hard to purchase i wouldn't be ragging on his *** for owning a saxo with stickers.
Lighten up guys! its a car! - this is all getting a bit "I own a scoob therfore all your cars are sh*t", verging on car bigotry

Everyone is losing the point of this thread....

The question was.... why put stickers on your car that are completely irrelevant to the marque???

You don't see many Scoobys with Myhneer stickers, or Equisse stickers etc etc simply because these companies don't cater for Scoobys.......just like the Jap companies (HKS, Blitz don't cater for Saxos)

at the risk of sounding a bit trollish...

In the same way you might change add a carbon fibre dash kit, or some lexus lights.
Its just a matter of taste i suppose, perhaps he likes having writing on the side of his car?
does it matter that much that HKS don't do saxo parts? half his mates probably wouldnt know what HKS was anyway.
I saw a car (i think it was a nissan, or maybe a datsun) on Ebay, where this guy had obviously spent ages makeing a 'plywood' bodykit. Personally I though the car looked totally outrageous! He probably did it for the same reasons saxo boy puts stickers on his car. We all buy frivolous things for our motors, I've already got a nodding scooby doo for my dash. doesn't mean i've got dogs under the bonnet
I think its probably a pampering thing. Maybe he just wanted to buy something for his motor. Perhaps he's so super rich, that he's had HKS produce custom built parts for his saxo. I dont know, but i think catalunya199 saying he "wants to
rip them off for being so stupid" is a bit poor.

Mr Neurons, I believe the car you are referring to was a Citroen BX, and I've always thought (well, hoped) that its owner had an extremely advanced sense of ironic humour.

I've heard of some strange modifications in my time, but putting an electric fly killer under your car seems decidedly odd...
