induction noise?

I have a my2000 turbo with itg panel filter and P1 back box. Everytime I change gears at say 4000rpm & over I get a roaring noise from the engine. Is this normal and it caused by the itg filter.

I have a Graham Goode induction kit and it almost sounds kind of Wooshey when i change gear

I would hope the noise you hear is from the filter?
