Hello all,
I've been given a MY98 ECU (cheers Tom)
and was wudnering if it is straight forward to fit it to a MY95 car, if so what would I notice in running the car on this ECU rather then the one thats in the car now?
is it a case of plug'n'play ?
cheers

Chandler,
Im no teckie, but I think that there will be some major differences between the 2 ECU's. I would not recomend that you just take the old one out and fit the new one, Re-mapping work will have to take place by a professional engineer.
All fuelling and Ignition settings will have to be changes to fit your 95 if this can be done! My advice is, give someone like Powerstation a call and ask them!

Errr...
I think you'll find the ECU wiring plugs are TOTALLY different.
Plus 98my had built in ECU immobiliser and all that jazz, so it just ain't going to fit.
Plus 98my had new engine design, camshafts, valves, increased CR, so map will be totally wrong if you ever got it to fit in the first place.....
Just my tuppence worth....
Good Luck.
