As said above, give him the keys to open it and start the thing, but leave a diskloc on and make sure you have all the keys

I am going away on work for a few months and I am leaving my 99 turbo at a mates garage. I was wondering what people would suggest in terms of keeping the car ticking over. How much should my friend take the car out to keep it in running order, once a week, twice ?

Just ask him to start it up once or twice a week especially if its cold. DONT let him take it out - I went away for a weekend and my mates flatmate took it out and put 32 miles on it. A day after getting back I notice an oil leak from the rocker seals - am now asking him for £200!
