Hi,
My bro is buying a car but the current owner still has the pevious owner shown on log book as the owner as he has not sent it off.
He has had the car a few months. Should he still buy car or walk away or can it still be bought as it is?

You can fill in a form from the post office cliaming your are the new registered keeper and get a V5. The DVLA write to the current registerd keeper asking if they want to challenge it. If they dont you get a V5 with your name on it.

Just found out that the previous owner signed it but current owner hasn't sent it off yet(had car for a month) or filled in his details so does this mean if my bro now fills it in his name and sends it off it will in effect skip the owner who has it now.
(confused I am).
