Has anyone else got Armourfend on their car?? I had the Scoob done in march at a cost of just under £500!! The theory behind it is good but that is some bloody expensive fablon!!
Anyway ever since I had it fitted there have been some problems with the installation, I had some bits peeling and some dust underneath it etc. After much debate with the company I eventually got the car back up to them for the re-work(250 mile round trip). What a complete lash up they made this time, again I've got bits peeling, old adhesive still under the new film and scratches under the film.
Did you have it done?? How did you get on??

Mine was fitted at the base in Nazeing, like I said the product is good it's just installation thats letting me down. The annoying part is the journey to get it sorted and they only open weekdays.
Blue Boy - I think the Supagard you are on about is a totally different product. The Armourfend is a film that physically covers the paint work. Supagard is an expensive wash and wax!!!

Had it fitted on my M5 in 2000 and on my RS4 a few weeks ago and same fitter boths times did a great job. Prefer on the Silver than the Carbon Black as it tends to show more on darker colours

Is it - I got the impression from the dealer that it was both. They sell the wash & wax stuff, but they also do the Amourfend covering!
Anyone know? Glad I didn't ask him today now, I'd have jumped at a 100 quid job when I thought I was getting a sealer and not just a very expensive wax job. He's not given me a price yet, so I don't know if it's comparable (could be 100 or 800, don't know).

Armourfend: see through hardwearing plastic that sticks over the parts of the car normally vunerable to stonechips.
Supaguard: teflon (IIRC) coating for paintwork, that's meant to preserve the colour and shine of the paintwork. Apparently washing it will take it back to the high gloss finish without wax.

Supaguard is the same thing as Diamondbrite, from a dealer a VERY expensive "Paint Protection System", £200 - £300.
It seals in the shine but doesnt provide any protection from stonechips. Basically, it makes it easier to wash the cr@p off your car and reduces the need for polishing (gives a polished shine just by washing alone)
Diamondbrite from me £49.99 delivered.

Had Armourfend applied to my RB5 from new, and judging by the protection it has given (when compared to the pepperd front I had on my prvious MY96 unprotected Scoob) I would certainly have it fitted again!
Also had it fitted at Nazeing - I'd get them to come back to sort it out - send a didgital image to them and keep ranting...if they know that bad feedback will be available to so many Scoob owners and potential customers, they'll soon get it sorted!
