Big Favour Please...
#1
I have been looking for some aftermarket alloy wheels that are rare and that look cool for ages, and have finally found the wheel that I want. Just one thing... the price.
The wheel is the Blitz Technospeed Z1, and from Blitz UK they cost over £600 for the 8 x 18" size I require.
Now for the favour:-
Will somebody please loan/give me... Only joking.
I am thinking (or Ian/555 is thinking) that the wheels will obviously be a lot cheaper in Japan, and that if anyone is importing a car soon that maybe they could have these wheels fitted to the car out there, and when it lands in this country I could put the wheels onto my car. If anybody is willing to do this for me I will be very grateful, and may even buy them 1/2 pint of Shandy

Simon,
I maybe importing another car very soon, I will email by the end of the week to let you know the details, the wheels can just be put into the car itself not on the car! its fully secured in a container when coming over!

Simon glad I could help.
One thing to bear in mind if the wheels are not fitted would you have to pay V.A.T. and import duty as they will obviously stand out as being brand new? I hope you can get away with them not being fitted, but you never know what customs will check.

Ian... I hope I dont have to pay the taxes. On the blitz japanese web site the wheels are 82'000 YEN which is about £490 (Only £110 cheaper then here) with VAT on top of that they're only about a tenner cheaper.
Harj... Thanks, but the wheels are not as cheap as I thought in Japan , I'll am going to check my finances, and research the TAX thing, I'll let you know what I decide.
thanks again
Simon
P.S. Is it stupid and irresponsible to spend what will be £1960 on some wheels to crash into kerbs and drive thru puddles?

Simon maybe the price on the Blitz site includes a Jap sales tax which you could deduct? Also I remember seeing on a webpage some time ago that the Japs have alloy wheel supermarkets so you might get the wheels on special offer less the tax, could still be a big saving on rip off Britain prices. Let me know how you get on as I was planning to bring some of them back in Anthracite colour and will have to rethink if thay are going to cost as much as you say. That's the trouble with good taste it cost's big time!
