Thats about right - On a good long run, I can may be get 280 out of a tank, but if you check for previous posts on this subject you see people getting somewhere in the region of 150 miles per tank (when giving it some)

Usually get 220 miles from a tank around town. If I do some motorway drivng then it goes up to 250-260 to a tank. I did, however, once take it past the magic 300 miles on a single tank. Didn't enjoy it though.
You'd better get used to it 'cos the fun just doesn't wear off.

normal Motorway driving, anything between 320-370 miles on a full tank
round town driving, about 260 to a tank
Drives down to Santa Pod etc, 170 miles to a full tank
60 litres in a tank, usually I get about 50 litres back in

Don't worry, give it another couple of months and the fuel consumption will be down in the teens

LOL
its only on the long motorway runs do i get close to 370 miles, basically stick to about 75-80mph all the way
Round town, i change gear around 3k rpm most of the time
drives to Santa Pod etc, erm rarely less than 5-6k rpm on the fast bits

Yup, it's very good mate - well done! You're clearly getting into the spirit of Scooby ownership. The 'spirit' in question being Optimax, of course!

Had mum in car earlier. Went a whole hour on the road without seeing the AFR meter light up. Mind you, fuel gauge didn't move either, so there's a lesson there somewhere

I'm with Sonic. Daily 20-mile motorway cruise to/from work will see at least 330 miles out a tank and that includes a couple of good blasts on the way home.
If I ever get just 200 miles out a tank I'd be looking for a hole in the tank FFS.
Stefan
PS Mines a RB5 running std boost and just a decat.

Usually on a motorway cruise, I will see 200 miles upto the half way mark
If i manage that I will give it a little stick for the last half the tank

You all going soft, what do you do, disconnect the actuator from the wastegate??
I occassionaly get 300 on very gentle driving, but never ever in 3 scoobs gone above 330 (and that was because the MAF was jigged). I do loads of motorway miles too.
Recently had a couple of 10mpg tank fulls
Most times its around 260 miles that i get and usually takes between 55 and 59 litres to fill!

I recently returned from cornwall and having recently bought my Scooby (standard '99 wagon apart from Magnex cat back and ITG air filter) was interested in the fuel consumption.
Driving style: 95mph with occasional bursts to 110-120 and down to 56-60 in places
Distance covered: 245 miles Bodmin to Sutton Coldfield
Fuel used: 7.9 gallons
Fuel Consumption: 31mpg approx
This is about what I would have expectded from my Saab 9-3 which was a horrible vehicle and had to go. I'm so glad it did

I regularly get 30 mpg out of MY02 WRX. This is combined cycle.
I've also had 18 mpg when having fun
So therefore FUN = Approx. £1.40 Gallon

I have an MY02.
Over the last 15,000 miles it's averaged just under 25 MPG.
Best was 31..
Worst was 20MPG this weekend, on the A9 The good thing about this though is that the GPG (Grins Per Gallon) or Smiles Per Gallon are always reciprocal to MPG
Can't beat the feeling of a Scooby + extra boost, getting past a line of cars that can't be bothered to pass a wagon (& don't leave any gaps for those that do want to/are able to pass)

I usually get 310 from a tank with a fair few trips near the red line, technically speaking, if you trust the combined MPG in the brochures then its possible to get just over 400. most iver ever had from a tank is 345 though.......
