Just looking at the prices of the P1's in the autotrader and they seem to be going down quite alot. Just noticed an X reg in there for £15,750....its a bit worrying for us P1 owners. I'm gonna keep the P1 for a long time, but whats it gonna be worth say in a couple of years.......

There was a p1 for sale from some sort of dealer several months ago for around £15,000 - £16,000. All i remember is that someone from here went to have a look at it and it was a proper dog, insurance write off rebuild etc. You gets what you pay for 99% of the time.

i've had my P1 now for 2 weeks and am just enjoying the experience (big wow smile)

fair point about lower prices but i think it is understandable. people are selling because the 3 years is up and out of normal warranty so there are naturally more to get hold of at the mo, more supply = lower price generally speaking. i think once these have new owners and they hold onto them (as i intend to) then prices will firm up again (not necessarily increase but hold), some cars will inevitably get written off leaving even less numbers.

the p1 will always be a sought after because of what it is, cars with low mileage will always be very saleable

all imo of course

There is a guy in the same town as me and he bought a P1 with 60K miles and a new engine for £12k. He is not the sort of person that tells pub stories.

Red face

I don't know how true this is. However, chap at work went to Colchester Car auctions a week or so ago. He claims he saw a P1 go through for 12.5K .

I don't know the condition, nor the mileage, etc. The chap is not the sort to tell shaggy dog tales (or should that be tails!!), but I tend to believe what he says.
