A friend of mine has been to see a wrx today and tells me it has no vin no. on the plate which bears the model code no. etc. I couldn`t remember where it should be, does anyone know? also shouldn`t the plate be the same colour as the body i.e painted?

The identification plate is on top of the near side front suspension strut housing.
It is not painted.

It has the vin no., model code, paint code and trim code on it.
