The MY04 details will be announced somewhere between late September and late October.

As to when you'll actually be able to buy one through a dealer in the UK, a lot depends on the stock situation with the '03 cars.

No. Now they've found a visual treatment for the New Age that people seem to like, they're not going to change again!

Expect small improvements in equipment levels, trim changes maybe, but I'd be surprised if there's anything fundamental.

Of course it'd be great if the STi got the DCCD, but that's probably more hope/pipe dream than expectation.

my local dealer (not a million miles from Essex) said he'd heard a new model Impreza was coming out in 2005, and EVO this month say 2006 for a new model , which will be larger than the current Impreza

Interesting this as I am looking at buying a new STI, but I am a also a bit concerned about a new STI revision coming soon after purchase, making my residuals plummet...Is the general view something is on the horizon then?

The fact that we're on Sti8 in only 10 years of the Impreza kinda says that you're likely to see a new variant pretty much every year.

I was in my local dealers this week and was told yhat Subaru are going to discontinue the Impreza as it is too big for rallying. Instead they are going to redesign the Justy and rally that.

Personnally I can't see them dropping the Impreza as they need a vehicle of that size, I can see them rallying the Justy though as everyone else has successfully switched to a smaller car

Read somewhere that there will be a EVO 9 and 10,due to the demand over the pond with 8s selling 1000s of $ over the price and due to the success of that film with the EVO in.

I was in my local dealers this week and was told yhat Subaru are going to discontinue the Impreza as it is too big for rallying.
Whether they rally it or not, they still need a C segment car in production. They didn't discontinue the Legacy after they started rallying the Impreza, did they?

Instead they are going to redesign the Justy and rally that.
Exceedingly unlikely to happen, for a whole load of commercial and engineering reasons.

I can see them rallying the Justy though as everyone else has successfully switched to a smaller car
Eh? Mitsubishi are continuing with the Cedia bodyshell, which is bigger than the Impreza, Ford are continuing with the Focus, which is longer overall and longer in the wheelbase than the Impreza, Citroen are continuing with the Xsara which is roughly the same size as the Impreza, and Peugeot are moving from the B segment 206 to the C segment 307. Everyone successfully switched to a smaller car? Doesn't look like it!
