Cool

Just had a call from my Dealer (Subaru that is!) saying that both mine and Chris' PPP's (for STi) have come in. Thing is, we ordered them last Tuesday(22nd)!! For a small fee I'll tell you who the dealer is!

Wow! See my earlier thread re today's service of my new wagon and chance of PPP fitting ahead of schedule. Sounds like the backlog might have cleared? Perhaps eased off with people waiting for Sept cars (as assume more fitted to new cars?)or just clearing books ahead of Aug hols?

Apparently, the main reason for delays is not the dealer but prodrive, Prodrive supply a re-programmed ECU as part of the PPP, and then get your orignal one back to modify and then supply to someone else as part of their PPP.
Therefore delays can result depending on the number of PPPs done recently.

And its not prodrive who enforce this, but S-UK I believe (or was very well informed).

Subaru UK restrict the number of ECU's going out based on whats still to be returned for reprogramming.

Plus the dealers have to pay £1000 which is credited back to them once they return the old ECU.
