Does PPP really "improve" MPG on MY03?
I've read that fitting the PPP improves MPG on MY03's by up to 5 MPG. Is this true?
Getting my first Impreza in September - already grinning. :-)

Yes & no is the only answer.
When I was doing the first 1,000 miles under 4,000 revs you were using the extra torque & changing gear nice & early. So better MPG.
After the first 1,000 miles you are using the full range of revs to exploit the extra torque & not changing gear till the last minute. So not so good MPG.
If you worry about the odd 5 MPG for better or worse you are going to miss the main reason for getting the PPP.And would be better off marrying a TDI.
