Where did you hear that one? It's news to me.
Personally I'd be (pleasantly) surprised - the current PPP is good for about 300bhp, and tuning much higher starts to get expensive. If anyone produces such a pack, I doubt it'll be Subaru or Prodrive.

Maybe it's for the US STi? It has 300bhp out of the factory and a 2.5l engine so 350 should be a fairly reasonable upgrade. I know there was some talk about this possibility on some of the American sites a while back but have no idea if anything actually came of it.

Hello Chaps,
I heard this from a reputable, in the know dealer.Ill not give any names just in case this information is incorrect, but its definately food for thought.I thought this might be in response to the so called 340ish bhp FQ pack for the Evo 8 rumoured to be out shortly.Regards, SIMON.

Running STI-8 PPP
With:
HKS Racing Suction Kit
HKS Downpipe From Turbo
HKS De-CAT
HKS Boost Guage (which is Showing peak 1.1 - 1.2)
HKS Sequential BOV
PPP Fuel Pump
PPP Back Box
PPP ECU
& Next Month Autronics will be going in to replace the PPP ECU
a few people think we should see 355 - 360 at the fly, so the kit will probably include some the above but obviously revised.

Had 355 running through a 01 wrx with ecutek, H&S full system, bigger turbo & injectors & 3 port boost solenoid.....
So I should imagine it is possible with an Sti.....reliability on stabdard internals will be one to watch...

Prodrive are working on a 350BHP upgrade for the USDMSTI i believe. 350 BHP out of the standard turbo on the UK STi8 is asking a lot of a small turbo, so it would need a turbo swap to keep charge temp sensible, then its posible IMHO.

??? 355bhp at the fly but will be able to tell you for sure next month when the car goes on the rollers for mapping,
all in all I think it has cost around £4000
£1500 for Autronics
£1500 for PPP
£1000 for the above mods to be carried out (HKS etc)
this is just a basic figure i'm sure it is a little more than this, but without receipts i can't say.
but a few are worried about the turbo and internals, so I'm going to throw an external wastegate in for measures on the turbo
then comes FMIC, Turbo, Internals, Cams, Gaskets, Headers and a big BILL !!
but i think the car will be safe around 355 as long as its treated with a little respect, i.e starting and leaving it to warm up before driving and cooling down before turning off (turbo timer)

I take it mate that the warranty is not an issue for you. I am getting a Power Engineering indusction kit on my STi8 PPP next week but not yet considering much else because of the warranty issue.

Didnt one of the prodrive posts mention that during development of the PPP 340bhp was achieved, but subaru UK made prodrive scale it back as they were concerned about reliabilty under warranty.
Maybe those concerns have been quashed ??.

watch this space !!!
and if i can get 355 - 360bhp at the fly, I would say all you can say is G-Force Have a cra* RR which I know for sure it isn't ??
I am naming G-Force because they are the rollers we want to use to Map the car on and test fueling and the like to check to see that the car is running safely,
think what you like but I beleive there are going to be a few suprised people on this board

There is no such thing as RR "proven" in my book. There are so many variables that they prove nothing. G-Force claimed high accuracy, but then a car gained about 20 BHP by moving the wheelbase slightly. The exhaust side on the VF35 is just too small for a believable 355 BHP IMHO.
I hope you get the results you want, to get them easily on any rolling road in the UK on any day you will need a bigger turbo though.
RR results are a case of seeing what you want to see and believing what you want to believe.
I mean no offence, I just think if you are doing all that you should change the turbo to something that flows more.
The only factor on your car that mean you should get any more than anyone else that has done a decat STi 7 or 8 are waterspray, otherwise the spec you list is pretty much like anyone else's decatted +-induction kitted STi. The Autronic per se will not add any power if you end up running the same boost, fuelling and timing. As good as the kit is, it won't magically give you extra power. You could get the same from any ECU.
