Well I have had about the best 2 days in ages and certainly my proudest moment in business
Just spent two days with Autocar and I had the amazing experience of having F1 driver Justin Wilson racing my Spec C limited against the new GT3 Porsche piloted by Takuma Sato We then swapped over and tried it again.
It was one of the most surreal moments of my life There I was sat in the latest GT3 Clubsport being driven FLAT out by Justin Wilson and only a metre or two in front was my Subaru (and private plate) being driven in them most incredible drifts by Takuma Sato
Best of all there was no differences between them (well 0.5 sec)!
Regards
Iain

I was invited to the Autocar “best handling car of the year” after they reviewed and loved the Spec C. So for the last 2 days my new Spec C limited has been flying around Rockingham up against the Murcielago, Zonda, E55, GT3, Elise etc.
The GT3 was awesome, for lap after lap the two of them were REALLY going for it with the Spec C pulling away around and out the bends and the GT3 catching it up again towards the end of the straight . I have never been in any car driven like that before ever inch of tarmac, kerbs and grass was used, it was amazing
The GT3 would be a real handful in inexperienced hands but deverstating in theirs. You couldn't get Sato out of it

See, told you those GT3's were over priced
That Spec C is the business, even if it is a Scoob
Cheers

For anyone that needs further convincing, I just watched the video of it being piloted around the Nordschleife.
It can be found on Iains website in the Spec C section. Bloody amazing. Iain any idea who was driving?

Hi Iain,
No, not had the pleasure of a new Spec C drive yet. I would love to give the car a run, thats very generous of you! I am particularly interested in how the DCCD-A feels. It would be nice to find somewhere open to try playing with that if possible?
We will have to sort something out in a couple of weeks if thats OK?
cheers

My first time driving it (although I know every bend off by heart from countless hours playing TOCA touring car on Playstation and watching races there)
Not that that is going to help me through Craner Curves for the first time
At least I know which way the next corner goes unlike the ring

My car is basically standard, we fitted our Milltek exhaust and remapped the car for UK fuel. Powerstation then spent ages getting the geometry just right Together they have made an amazing package, Touring car driver Phil bennet said "thats just f**king Mega!"
John, you'll love the DCCD it seems to work best in Auto mode for the timed laps but when they wanted some sideways photos it was fun to put it into full rear
waiting for you call Mad gypsy

So Phil Bennet now see's that some Impreza's can handle and he has seen it first hand. Told you Phil!! LOL
I'll give you a call in a couple of weeks if thats OK Iain, it will be a great oportunity for me as a lot of the guys in the USA who are buying the USDM STI are asking me how it compares to my manual DCCD and i havnt been able to say yet.

A little bird tells me, a few more tweaks were done to the Spec C,
and included a can of black spray paint, and uprated rear ARB, and some err.. 76 race fuel
Can't wait to read the article tho.
Any truth in EVO (mag) doing a similar thing??
