No 55 was stolen from outside my friends' house in W. Yorks.
Thieves broke into their house and stole the keys from her handbag and drove off with the car.
This is apparently the most common sort of car theft now, as stolen vehicles are more valuable and easier to pass on with the keys.
A car as rare as this has surely been stolen to order, nobody could pass it through the trade, could they?
I believe it was supplied 2nd hand by Golden's in Huddersfield. That's just for info and not meant to cast any aspersion on the good name of that dealer.

Thats not good.
It was probably nicked for export. Every Police Force in the UK knows about it by now and will be keeping a 'special' eye out. I doubt anyone in the trade would be stupid enough to touch it.
There appears to be a nasty bout of high performance car nicking (worse than usual) going on at the moment. Looking at the computer before I came off duty this morning, 4 Scoobs gone 'walkies' within the M25 overnight.
There's also a nicked race prepared Skyline with '69' on the doors knocking about. I don't think I'm going to catch that in my T-5 somehow!!
Make sure your Scoobs are well locked up. I'd hate to see any of you become another statistic on the list.
Regards
Stuart

BK - Sorry about your Cat. I guess other than a crash it is every owners worse nightmare.
Stuart - Yeah, I just moved to London WC1 (from Slough) and my insurance went up by £200. I thought Slough was a dodgy area and that it might go down - not up
I used to subscribe to an eGroups mail list called that black rats, which was a bunch of traffic cops. What's with the 'black rats' name?
Regards
James

It's even worse for me I live right in the middle of the city and have to insure the girlfriends car (Boxter) on the same premesis. The Insurance company think its Christmas everytime renewal day comes.!
The Black Rats is the nickname given to the Traffic Dept. by the other departments. There is an explanation of how we got the name but I fear it would bore everyone!!

Rum there ia also a new DBM in North Yorks supplied by my dealer. Spot it by the small ariel on the rear of the roof, hidden lights in the grill and the camera 'in' the top corner of the passenger side windscreen!!
Std UK but with Prodrive performance pack and PIAAs! Unlike a lot of unmarked cars, this one still has the 'scoop'.
Apparently his 'usual' nicking speed has gone up from 80mph to 120mph because of people wanting to 'have a play'. He nicked a 'playful' EVO6 at 130mph, but only after 8 miles
You have been warned!!
