easy way?
Take the battery terminals off for a few hours. Re-connect, start up to running temps without hitting trottle, turn off, and then ecu is re-set.
You can attatch the plugs under the dash for fault codes but I can never remember which on went where!!!
Someone will tell you when it gets moved to General Tech. Even better, use the search option provided!!

The proper way, also means you don't need the radio code, risk upseting the alarm system and includes a lot of self checking diagnostics!
Look at www.mrtrally.com.au use the search for 'ecu reset' print it out and 'follow the bouncing ball.
cheers
Steve.

just done mine on my my96
did the total reset..
interesting thing though when i connected up and turned on,
the cel flashed on off on off etc but the fuel pump was also energising, and the engine fan also... started up and all ok
anyway started the car and backed off the drive and lo
the cel starts cycling to say test complete...
i ran it until warm anyway and disconnected...
then just connected up the cel diagnostic plug..
result no code other than ok ie on off on off etc
now i know what to do, i will wait for the nostart event to happen and then poll the codes..
