MY 03 Whinning gear

when changing down from 3rd to 2nd gearbox makes a slight whinning noise is this normal car has only done 1200 miles

Dunno - but mine does it too. Also rolling along in 2nd there is a fair bit of transmission whine!

I remember a previous thread on the whine in 2nd when slowing down. They all do that sir.

my MY98 does it in 1st, didnt do it at first until i got an AP clutch fitted and did some fast starts

I think all scoobs do this as it is the diffs and prop shaft that are whining. either that or my car is f**cked.
