Oh my god.....i think i'm gonna like going beyond 5k rpm now!
hehehehehe
drive home was rather good!
Think i need to get used to how the thing just grips and go.
The kick after each gear change is just brilliant.
Damn I love this car!

Having the first service tomorrow at under 700 miles as I am popping up to the Lake District for some fresh air and scenary on Wednesday and by the time I get back it will be well over the 1000 miles. I won't be taking the first service as the equivalent of a switch that you flick between "slow 'n steady" to "take that you git" but I will be turning the rev. warning up a tad!

PPP is further down the line...as insurance is already pretty steep for me!
Will just enjoy the 261bhp for now.
I've had that manual rev limit set at 4500rpm since new.
Will adjust it to 6500rpm i think.
Your drive upto the Lake District should be pretty good.
Enjoy.

Had the PPP fitted on Thursday, it took 5 weeks for the dealer to get all the parts... and......... its worth the wait just for the sound! Nothing like it. Not noisy on the m-way, but when you let her go its hair on back of neck time! I've done 5k in 6 weeks since i got he car and the PPP just tops it off. We did the flat out test run Sat night @ 3am down hill on XX north of xxXXXXX and saw 1xx on the clock just 7000prm, X5mph per1krpm i've rode a bike that fast and its just as scary! Bonnet vent was getting well carried away! I won't be doing it again but believe me it was quick! very quick! awsome.

....and me please Daz, as per profile.
The figures - in the edited post, xxxxx MPH, etc. (Although it's not difficult to work out, I don't think, as you've left the Xmph/krpm in)
Although I have no plan to actually find out myself what my STi8 will do, it'd be good to know....
Thanks

Just home from the 1st service. £29 +vat for 4.5L of Magnatec!! and £2 +vat to dispose of the old oil! Still, the next service they do in a year will be with oil supplied by me! (oil and filter change around the end of the year by me in the mean time.)
PPP ordered for me and Chris. 600bhp lined up at the front of the house! - cool.
