Anyone got a Ecotek CB-26P attached to their engine? If so are they any good???

I've got one fitted at the moment on my MY99 STI Type-R, but it's permantently locked off because it's ****e. I ran it for over a year and then closed it off, if anything the MPG is better now it's shut.

Did you buy one of those £20 green felt tip pens that was supposed to make CD's sound better too?
