Cool

Michelin Pilot Sport Cup tyres

225 45 17 £159.50+ vat each
235 35 19 £236.50+ vat each

These are only to give you an idea of cost

We can get a 10% discount on these prices if we have enough ppl

These tyres are very special, very special. infact they are sold with a warning ie if you are on a motorway doing 70 mph and you hit water expect your driving skills tested to the full
So BMW are taking a big step in fitting these tyres to there CSL

In the dry expect more grip than any other road legal tyre

I'm not trying to sell these, they are basically a road legal slick tyre, to be used with caution.
And I inquired about getting a set for dry use only, the warning bit is just so I don't give you false information
Bmw are the one's taking the leap

Indeed - UK rains more than it's dry
Scoobs strength is wet weather handling and grip

I have had two sets of these. They come in the correct size for a new age car 225/40 18, as this is the same as a 911 front. They were designed for the Porsche Cup, which Michelin sponsored. Wet weather grip is better than you would expect and not dissimilar to a Toyo or Falken. Dry grip is mind bending. With these on, there is nothing, absolutely nothing, that will keep with you down the lanes.

They don't last long and only come with 4mm of tread when new

They are also very noisy.

About 3,000 road miles or 3-5 track days depending on surface. As you don't slide, they last longer than you would expect.

These tyres are extremely pressure sensitive and 2 psi out will knacker them in 1000 road miles or 1 track day. You should aim for 27-28psi when hot. They don't have as much grip until they reach this temp, but its a case of exercising care rather than them being dangerous. On track, the best thing to do is to over inflate them, do one or two laps, set them correctly and then re-check them 2-3 laps later. On the road, they don't get anywhere near as hot, so its trial and error to find what starting pressures will give you the correct warm pressures, with your suspension and weight distribution.

It may sound like a bit of faffing around, but it is worth it

3000 miles you can get from a set, and you have to adjust your road holding internal sensors, they are phenomenal......not much cop in the wet!!!
