Prodrive or STI - The best..
#1
Five live had an excellent discussion on technology and sport. Patrick Head was giving some excellent reasoned argument and it got me thinking about Subaru's.
Out of the two tuning houses STI and Prodrive, who has had the biggest influence on the Subaru marque?
To me, prodrive have had the biggest worldwide influence in presenting the Subaru as 'the car' to have for some. It's influence in Rallying (and other motorsport) arena has allowed Subaru to project itself into 'cult' status.
Its engineering is second to none (including STI) and it's PPP is seen as the general mod to have as the best starting base.
STI as a larger volume tuning house (like AMG) have brought performance cars to the masses and have allowed the likes of you and me to own a true 'supercar'. But it has been plagued with a 'fragile' tag (rightly or wrongly) for some time and this has tainted it's outstanding contribution.
I'm aware that this may start and 'energetic' debate... that's exactly why I posted it.
I own a Produrve WR Sport, but speak without bias. Honest!
I look forward to your (constructive) comments!!
