still looking to buy a 1993/95 wrx/sti.It MUST be black and in my price budget of £6500.mods would be nice,but not essential. does anyone know of any?

Have you checked your local AutoTrader? Or even better check through the online AutoTrader site as I can guarantee you'll find what your looking for on there just like I did. I found mine through their website and travelled from South Wales to London - and I did the deal that day and had it a week later!

I have a black MY93/94 thats a bit special although it has a few basic mods only. A few of the interesting features are :-

Black bodywork with red metallic fleck
Black (original) wheels
Blistering acceleration (top end +/- = 125, 0-60 = Frightening
Ali bonnet and boot
Full electrics
Strange ECU (having looked at it for first time the other day I noticed an STi logo and some strange references!!)


I Will be selling it in a couple of months time (end of September) if you are willing to wait, however we will have to talk on price. The car (I suspect) is an early STi although I am still working on tracking it's history.

Simonz, i have a black STi3 that I may let go for around your price range.
Basically it's this one on a P plate:



minus the front fog covers and a has a mid level spoiler with brake light.

It's done just < 100k, been serviced regularly since import late 2001, with no prior history.
I had no problems with it and has recently had a gear box rebuild and a new OEM STi clutch.

Thanx Johnny50,i seen that one,rang it up to inquire a couple of times.was interested but seen another sti going for £5800 with tracker cat1 and 18inch alloys,Asked about the condition of the one your talkin about, and first off,in transport over here it managed to collect a dent in the front wing,there's a 3 inch dent in the bootand now its in the garage again because of an oil leak, maybe could of been persuaded if they would thru in a cat alarm but they wanted another £270 for it.Thanx 4 the reply tho it does look quite nice for a standerd!
