In all the years we had beetles we never raced.
this year the gauntlet has been thrown.....
he has an Audi S4, 2.7l twin turbo, chipped, sports exhaust and DV/Filters.
I have a standard Jap import type r sti v5.

Power to weight wise you scoob in standard form is about 220bhp ton his is standard form is 178bhp/ton and his modified is 228bhp/ton. Close call they should be pretty even on paper but
over a quarter mile I think you would have him though due to the type R gear ratios.

I junked my STI V for an S4 a few years ago. Even that didnt feel that far off the STI. Lots more low down go as well. A lot of road tests have the std car in mid 5's to 60.
A chip on these cars makes a world of difference. You will have more torque than a std RS4. Jeff who posts on here has done some modding to his S4. I would say it would be pretty close. Given a good straight the S4 will win.

My S4 produces 409 bhp.....I would imagine a chipped S4 would be around the 310-320 bhp mark...should be an interesting run
Audi never produced a tiptronic version of the 2.7 biturbo S4.
