Red face

Guys,

Going to goodwood tomorrow (i know its friday to sunday, but im getting settled in before)

Thing is, on the way home last night car is feeling like something has broke or come loose, its not effecting performance but i can feel it through the floor of the car (and the steering a bit and when pressing the clutch)

It feels exactly like when a exhaust falls off a mounting, this morning i also feel it worse until it warmed up (and a bit of vibration seems to come through the throttle pedal)

I cant see anything hanging off underneath, where would you start?

Its a MY03 (with PPP), too late for dealer to look at. Could my CAT have smashed?

Oh bum

You're under warranty, so the only thing I can say is get it to the dealer if a cursory glance under the car doesn't reveal what it is. If you don't, when you want it sorted under warranty it'll be a case of "which bodger's done this - they broke it - it ain't warrantied".

Where in the country are you? Some kind soul on here with more mechanical knowledge than me may have time to have a quick look...

Good luck,
Nick.

Wink

Thanks for the reply, in leeds area (change my profile, as so many cars lost recently)

As you probably know goodwood is a few miles from leeds

Gona get it on ramps at lunch time (will have to reverse up them)

Thanks again

Question

How the hell has the gearbox oil fallen below min on a new car? Does that not worry you?

Yes & No, Yes cos its doing it & No cos its under warranty and when the gearbox falls off they have to deal with it. Another no is it will be gone in 20 months time anyway

exactly - what are the options?

Worry needlessly. Does nothing apart from stress you out...

Chill... knowing that the car's warrantied and it's someone else's problem if it siezes up.
