I have the Prodrive aluminium gear **** fitted in the STi8 but its becomming a bit of a pain!
When I get in the car after its been sat out in the sun, I can barely touch the gear **** - its too damn hot!
I've tried covering it with my sunglasses case, but it has little effect! Has anyone else had this problem/found a solution?

Nowt wrong with the original ****, just fancied a shiny one in this car!
Also have quickshift, so pain is short lived!
Have already done the winter test, and at -10 its equally hard to handle
Hmmm... a white cloth, that could be an idea!!! Its 28 degrees here today, so perfect for a test!

Window tints? Amazed at the amount of heat that they keep out of the car.
Cover it with a tea cosy?
I'll get me coat....

You need to have a look at your gearbox, if you need two hands to change gear, there is something very wrong.
If on the other hand, you have a burnt hand, I would suggest you put a glove on it.
On the ****, not your hand.
Hope this info is handie, Im not trying to palm you off.

Some excellent **** related jokes guys, keep it up!!!!
I like the idea of the tea cosy, but the sock is the best idea so far! Tinted windows would probably do a fantastic job, but then I'd have to fit a bass-box, UV lights and lower the suspension! LOL

Lovely place-Lake Constance.
All understood-maybe you need some better oil in the gearbox to help with the gearchanging. Can't remember if it was you I had a conversation with about Castrol Syntrac.
