Octane Booster
#1
NF Race ( the black bottle - put about 80 -100 mil in with each full tank of fuel, one bottle should do 5-6 tank fulls) it's the only one that stops my car detting, and it works out cheaper. Dingy on here can supply it, I think he has an add in scoobyshop as well, new age motorsport or something like that.
Of the above, I occasionally use Pro Boost, when I've run out of NF, but even then I put the whole tin in each time and I still get lights on my knocklink.
You can drive the car, just don't push it, light throttle openings and 4-5k change ups.

I know this is covered from time to time, however I have had three conversations with three tuning shops in the last 2 days about octane booster, they all recommended a different one and all slagged off the others with no concrete reasons why...???
They are Wynns
Millers
Pro boost ( silkoline (I think))
There is also one in the Demon tweeks catalogue that 'is not for road use' which is supposed to boost the octane to '105'! Whould this be an option? As I understand that although the stated ron for Japenese fuel was 100, it was actually 102. Yes they told me that as well.
I do not have a problem with detting at the moment however I don't want it to start, so what opinions or more importantly 'facts' do we have.
Thanks
Ivan

NF is the favourite here :-)
Petrol in Japan.... some people even claim 104 octane...
Accoding to i think it was the japanese petroleum institute, 3 grades are available, 89 ron regular, 96 premium and 100 octane unleaded.

Have to agree with FATBOY on this one.
ME CAR was still detting with OPTIMAX and MILLERS.
NF. Nary a whisper.
BTW. It's around a Tenner.
But only need to use @ 80ccs a tank, from 300cc bottle.
