Yep you gotta have your excuses ready for max power
Either
"I can't put more than the stock 1.2 litre engine in it because I can't afford to insure it (despite the fact that I haven't told them about the bodykit mods cause I wouldn't be able to insure them either, so it didn't stop me doing that)"
--- or ---
"Well yes it is running a 1.2 litre engine now BUT I plan to put a 5.8 litre V8 supercharged monster in it next week, honest"
Funny how all of them are planning to make it go properly next week, never last week...

yeah here is the little known "Max power formula" for guarenteeing your car to get in.
AxB-C
/D
= P.
A= The net tonnage of the plastic ****e you've stuck to the bodywork.
B= The Size of the stupid and pointless rear spoiler which has never seen a wind tunnel in its life.
C= The BHP produced by the engine. (This figure needs to be as low as possible, which explains why they feature so many fookin Corsas with three cylinder engines)
D= the practicality of your vehicle after said modifications expressed as a percentage. (Once again, needs to be as low as possible)
P= How much of a chance you have of getting the car featured (also how much of a *rick you are for wanting it to get in a mag which would be more useful if it was on a loo roll holder.)

Not that I buy the magazine (well not since I was 16 ) but have you actually seen some of the cars they have in there? True, a bit OTT, but a lot of them have some serious performance (tuned up Supras with NOS etc.).
On the flipside they also have some absolute sheds featured! Would rather read it than Woman's Weekly though.
And WTF is a 'scubbie'?!

give the max power brigade a break guys there are some very nice cars(just different isnt that what its all about).also some of the lads are young and cant afford to run a scoob(be honest fuel/ins/mods/even standard parts are expensive)wasnt the norris evo featured and thats hardly a plastic shed we would all sell our mothers for that car

Gilly - you wont get it now as they have sent out the tickets already. Got mine this morning Come and say hi.
Everyone takes the **** out of Max Power/ Fast Car/ Redline etc cause its mainly made up of boy racers with their nova, corsa, fiesta etc with viper stripes!
5% of the magazine is made by some serious tuning companies. Yeah Norris Designs evo has been in there, very tuned supras and skylines from Top Secret and some good sound stuff from the US.
