Just wanted to know what everyones opinion was on the 22B's value. Will it drop more or will it be a steady £20k ish for a long time. Just interested what everyone thinks.....

Personally beleive they will become harder to sell in terms for an every day car, most folk want new and none of the hassle of no warrenty or efforts sourcing pannels should the worse ever happen. But if your a private collector then it's a different story.

The 22B imho is without a shadow of a doubt the best car subaru has ever produced todate, I'm unsure how many were brought into the UK initially think it was around 17, If I had one I would try my hardest to resist the temptation of driving it through out the week and just stick to using it at weekend, such an exclusive model that is well looked after with reasonable low millage and the icon of the mid 90's will be a a real collectors item in years to come.

Probably not the answer you were looking for... but if you wait lets say a year then I predict they will only drop slightly in price, but below 20k I feel you will be extreamly lucky for someone to sell that low, they would need to be desperate for the cash.

Hi Med,

Thanks for your reply, that is kinda what I was thinking too. I am fortunate enough to not have to run my car to work through the week but as you said it is very difficult to control myself after work and in the evenings. It is as you said mainly a weekend car. I was just interested to see what opinions of it were, I didnt buy it for an investment but am hoping that it will keep a fair value, with still being able to enjoy it and drive it. I do hope that Subaru will release something like the 22B again.

I have to use mine everyday and love it yes they are extreme but why own one and not use it.Personally i would think somewhere between 22k to 25K is about as low as they'll go.Would not sell mine for either of those prices though

I too use mine everyday. Cars are meant to be driven!

Currently disgusted with trade values for these cars but then the trade don't give a $hit about the cars heritage or appeal or even rarity.

Keithp - might only be a rumour but I read somewhere that Subaru are going to launch a road version of the new WRC called (unsuprisingly) a WR Car. The article said it was going to contain all the bodykit detailing of the 2003 WRC, uprated suspension, brakes 18" rims, Recaro style seats etc but would keep standard instrument layout rather that TV screens ! Performance 325BHP (from memory) out of the box. So if true then watch this space. Be interesting to see how they price it though.

22b's are the dogs tezzas, i'm bad enough in my turbo (my00) at "just nipping out for a while" excuse to drive it the temptation would be too much if there was a 22b on the drive!!!

gav..

Question

slightly off topic, but what is it that puts the 22B so far above other models P1 for example?

Greatness of looks, grip and low down torque through increased capacity as well as quicker steering greater chassis stiffness and wider track.

Plus nicer interior.

all this despite marketing, inferior to that of the "ultimate impreza" the P1!
