2nd hand market for scoobies?
#1
In a couple of months I'll have the option of returning my scoob to the contract company or buying it off them with a view to selling it straight away (if their price is right obviously)...
My gut feeling about the market at the moment is that 01/02 cars are selling slowly, if at all. I don't want to get in a position where I can't move the car on fairly quickly.
By the way, my scooby is pretty special in its own right but I don't know how much difference that would make to its saleability: MY01 wagon, WR Blue, PPP, 18" anthracites with new F1s, morettes, Scoobysport uppipe and downpipe (making 265bhp, 267lbft)...
Is my assessment right or is there a market out there after all?
Cheers,
Gareth

Well, the main reason for selling it was so I can get some value back for the mods, and not incur the cost of removing them before returning the car. If the decat will make it harder to sell that changes the picture altogether...

was offered £16,000 for my 02 bugeye today by my dealer ,
i too will have the same dilema in 24 months i will have £8500 to pay or as deposit on my next scoob i hope to get between 10-12k for it .
i was told as long as i settle the outstanding amount any extra profit was mine to keep.
