For those of you who don`t already know, we came around a corner and the wife started going onto the verge and hitting the hedges. I shouted what the **** you doin` and she snatched the wheel to the right sending us across the other side of the road, (NOTE Photo) causing the damage as seen.
Before the corner we had stopped on some waste ground so I could have a ****, maybe we picked up a flat tyre causing nothing to happen around the corner. Who knows, they never held an investigation `cause nobody was hurt/involved. As you can see the wife never hit the breaks the wall, telegraph pole and road signs grinded us to a halt. The car was written off, `cause it needed a new body shell, but I heard that Subaru don`t supply these that`s why it was written off by the insurance.
All in all we where very lucky and the outcome was a brand STI8 through the insurance 2 weeks later!!!

Glad you where both ok
I recommend doing what i did, get your missus some professional track training and get her on a few track days, makes a huge difference. Also makes track days more fun when you can both take part.

If he picked a puncture then i doubt it was driver error on his wifes part, although i haven't see her drive
Do you guys think you could get a scoob round a left hand corner with a flat right front tyre that you didn't know about ?

errrr yes in fact I did exactly that when some to55er decided it would be a great idea to cover the road in broken glass.
50-60mph into tight left hander and was forced to "saw" at the wheel in order to get some grip back. Driver training probably saved my life I would advise everyone to do it, particularly people's spouses who either can't drive well or are not used to the car.
