What to check on a brand new car?
#1
A question I guess for Scooby "veterans"
From your experience what checks if any (on top of the standard service) are worth doing on a brand new UK car?
I've been reading on this BBS about geometry setting, rolling road tests, etc. Are any of these worth doing on a 2-month old run-in car you reckon?
May be I am bit paranoid but it just seems that my car is not as fast as the one I test drove. I've also noticed that most of the acceleration happens in the 2500 to 4500 rpm range and then the power gets "flat".
Or is it just me getting used to the high Scooby standard?

Even on a stock model I would have the geometry checked and adjusted to Prodrive settings. Everyone I know who has had this done are more than happy with the improvment and commented that the standard settings were out of adjustment anyway.
Maybe you are just getting used to the feel of the car. Its probably a matter of perception rather than anything wrong.
