NBO mpg joy
#1
Not only was the NBO an excellent day out, it was also a motoring revelation - I achieved over 27mpg in the 140 mile round trip from Beverley. As I usually jump for joy if I top 21 or 22mpg, this was an unexpected bonus. Can't say it was a particularly slow drive, either. The gods were clearly smiling on me last Sunday - an array of fabulous motors (I was parked next to Ady 555's immaculate P1, drool, drool) and easy on my pocket. And yes, I double checked mileage and consumption several times... Just thought I'd share this rare moment of unexpected satisfaction at an all-round top day. Well done Lord Harding, well done my somewhat modded MY99 green wagon.

I was touring North Yorkshire a couple of weeks ago and got 34 mpg on one day in my MY02 PPP. I have to admit I drove "off boost" for most of the day and never exceeded 50 mph and the throttle openings were few and far between as I was cruising behind other cars. I was astonished at the result though. Best I have ever had in a Scoob, not much fun though
