Question

I am considering buying an Impreza and am swimming through the many models that are out there trying to work out what is good and what isn't. Suffice to say, power and acceleration are my goals.

Unfortunately, I don't have an enormous bag of cash to throw down, £8k, so I'm not expecting to be able to get new models.

So, has anyone got any hints and tips?

Thanks in advance,
Rory

I am in exactly the same position as you groovebutcher!

I have been researching different models now trying to decide which one to get, and I still havent made up my mind.

Let us know how you get on if you wouldnt mind!

cheers

with that sort of money you could get an early STi.

personally i would be more tempted to get a 93 WRX (it had a better ratio'd gearbox) and with the left over £1K get yourself a full stainless exhaust, decent panel filter, scoobyecu, fuelpump and a DV.

either that or get any scooby with a blown up engine (looking around 4-5K) and get yourself an STi engine and fit it. thats what im doing (but i blew me own engine up).
