Just a general query for everyone, is there a list or even a Thread that contains the 1/4 mile times and MPH's of the quickest street registered cars in the country?

What about HP and top end MPH charts also?

you need to start reading the proper magazines, street machine & custom car for example.

the both report on the drag racing sceen, they also like to other magazines & www.sites

in the street racing series they have street legal cars running the 1/4 in 8 seconds at 160+mph


personaly, I have done 10.01 for the 1/4 with a terminal speed of 127mph, that was before the engine rebuild, I am making 548bhp + 250bhp of giggle gas, I am putting just shy of 7 big ones to the ground

Once I have the new torque converter I hope to break out of the 10's , i think the wheelie knackered the torque converter.

before anyone ask am I mad no just clinically insane

So yours must be one of the quickest cars in the country?

I am from Oz originally and they are starting to run some serious numbers out there now. There are quite a few 8 second cars (Mazda rotaries) and one or two 7 second cars now.

I may be making a trip to Sydney soon, I'm going to do some digging around for you guys on the WRX scene - as they have some pretty awesome scoobys there also.

My scooby is a humble WRX

my race car is a not so humble Mk1 Ford escort

Its fast but no where near one of the fastest in the country, you need to dig out this or last months copy of fast car magazine, the one with the free dvd on he cover, it has a lot of the jap stuff in auz or nz cant remember
