Check out your engine no. against the listings in the SIDC FAQ:

http://www.sidc.co.uk/faq.htm

You should find out exactly what you have

Enjoy!

Normally the chassis numbers are longer on UK models. On my V5 my chassis number is 9 in length. I think the Uk ones are 15.

Its not a Turbo 2000 because of the age and they were UK cars.
As its an import its a good bet its a WRX o it will/should have as standard 240ps (about 237bhp) running on 100ron fuel, as we dont have 100ron fuel you can knock a few more bhp off.
As its an import you should be running it on either Optimax or SUL and using octain booster would be a good idea as well.
Your car is getting a bit old now, take it to a rolling road session and see if its putting the right power out, if your using the right fuel and with a decat you should be seeing 250/260 bhp.

Dump why the mad icon , the bright button is only fitted to UK model and all it does is change the lighting on the dash. Well known in the impreza community. If yours has a bright button its a UK model simple as that.
