Just wondered if the actual bhp/torque figures were as quoted for it? In theory should an 03 WRX with PPP actually show 265bhp on a rolling road?

I heard of someone who did put their 03 WRX PPP on a RR and it only registered about 240bhp!!! Would this be because his car was still tight (had about 2000 miles on it I think) or that the rolling road wasn't calibrated properly?? I believe it was done at Power Station.

Having not driven another WRX PPP by way of comparison, I'm now wondering if mine is putting out the full 265bhp. The way peeps describe their WRX PPP's acceleration makes me question whether mine is giving me the full enchilada! Other than getting it on a RR (which concerns me re. the warranty) how I can be sure - I don't want to destroy the gearbox/clutch/transmission aimlessly trying to achieve a 4.8sec 0-60 time.

My 03 with PPP feels much quicker than the old standard turbo (MY00), I would be interested to see it on a RR though.

0-60 in under 5 seconds is believable, will give it a try when I've done a few more miles, I'm sure the clutch won't mind a couple of runs.

Power engineering RR will usually give 15 BHP more than Power Station RR IMHO.

Does it really matter what the car puts out on a RR? Surely the 'butt' dyno is the one that really counts?

What if you RR'd your car and it gave 268BHP, would you be happy even though it didn't really feel very fast?

The real problem here is that you've realised that you now need an STI8 PPP

240 BHP at Powerstation sounds about on the nose. I suspect it would do 270 BHP at PE from calculations I've done based on collecting and analysing all the published MY99 and 00 standard and decat cars on the two rolling roads.

Would say so. 240 BHP from Powerstation is inverse snobbery. As expected, don't worry about it, the figures are sound.

I had my STi8 PPP on the rollers at Well Lane last sunday and got 311bhp,
Car only has 2.5k on the clock so i was quite pleased with the result,
A standard STi8 with similar mileage had 269bhp
