Unhappy

stuffed my scooby in the back of a muppet in a golf last night on my way home. very sad times.

Hopefully he'll be seen as responsible though as he pulled in front of me and halved my braking distance....scum bag.

I'm fine apart from being rather p*ssed off that my car is knackered.

God knows how long it'll take for the insurance companies to pull their fingers out.

If your comprehensive, your company will sort it for now, they should send it sharply to their approved repairer to get it inspected. Best thing is to keep calling them, this should speed up the process.

Hope you get it sorted.

They told me an assesser would be seeing the car with 24 hours (that was yesterday morning!)

My only concern is who there approved body shop is. I would like to take it to my local scoob dealer as they have a body shop but I've gotta get the quote myself and get another as a comparison before they'll even consider it.

I think they'll come in too expensive though.

Two options, try and get another estimate which is more expensive than the dealer or if there not much diff in price, the insurance co will let you pay the difference. Try and do the 1st one though.

Thumbs down

Even though the loser pulled out on you there is a chance you might be held partly responsible as you hit the back of them.

Similar thing happened to me, I was crossing a junction at about 28MPH, noticed a golf parked (illiegaly) at the kerb indicating. The silly bitch driving it obviously didn't see me and at the last moment pulled out on me. I managed to swerve round her and the silly cow then turned right into the passenger side rear of my car!

In the end I held out for an 80/20 split of liability in my favour but no claims was lost all because some dopey bint didn't use her mirrors.

nightmare.

To be honest I'm gonna push for all I can but ain't holding my breath. I know what insurance companies can be like.

Hopefully the witness will do me some good but worst case, I've got protected no claims so should only loose my excess.
