I am thinking about selling/trading in my car, upgrading to a P1 or Version 6 Type R.
The car -:
MY00 UK Turbo on a W plate.
The car is a 4 door, in Deep Blue Mica and has covered 36,000 miles.
It has a full service history and just flew through its 1st MOT last week with flying colours.
18 inch OZ Superleggeras with Pirelli Tyres.
Eibach 30mm Suspension kit
Scorpion Stainless steel exhaust, no CAT
Scorpion down pipe, no CAT
K&N Induction kit
Forge chrome VTA Dump Valve
Blitz Turbo Timer
Genuine STI pedal set
Momo handbrake/gaiter
Momo gearknob
Sony Active Black CD player
Infinity/Kenwood speakers
In excess of £3000 spent on modifications.
How much would my car fetch in a private sale?

Sadly the money you spend on Mods you never get back (dont let this be a downer tho)
I paid 11995 for my MY00 with 13k on the clock, and the only mods where Prodrive PD7's with almost new boots on, and a Pioneer DEH-8100R & Multichanger, but no air con
And yesterday my car passed its MOT with flying colours
I would say you are probably looking at least 12k, possibly more on autotrader/private
Good luck if you do decide to sell

I thought about £12.5k myself. I have seen MY98 S reg cars asking silly money (£10 - £11k!!!)
If I thought for a minute my car would only fetch under 10 grand I would just strip it and put the bloody thing on the track!
Cheers all! : )

Before I read the other posts I thought '£11k for quick sale'.
As usual, just depends how long you want to try your arm for, but I wouldn't expect more than 12, as Subaru dealers are selling hem for that now (yes, without most of the mods)
I bought and sold my 99MY for £8500 when I could have tried to sit it out for £10k

Don't pay any attention to Scoobynet prices, the cars advertised here are always 1 or 2 grand less than in Autotrader.
Put the standard wheels back on and flog em for £600, then advertise the car for £12,500 (on Auto Trader)
This place is a conspiracy to keep second hand Scoob values down as much as possible
Also I would imagine the car would be harder to sell to Joe Public with the exhaust you currently have, your average buyer (me included) is on the look out for a totally standard un-abused example, not one that has been thrashed or looks like it was owned by a boy racer. You know what I mean.
But if you bring it back to standard, who's to know it's past life...
Good luck

Good points John..
I suppose a question like this one, gives folk the opportunity to manipulate used prices by everyone having the same opinion.
Also, I have kept all the standard parts for sale time, to keep my options open.
But I have to disagree... If it were a used Nova or Saxo, loaded up with "boy racer" parts then I would steer clear, however the mods I have made to my scoob are the same mods most owners make, and can all be considered tasteful and indeed purposeful. You can't compare a standard exhaust note to a de-catted stainless steel job!
Cheers
