Recently on Scoobyzone they had a group buy on some camcorder suction mounts which unfortunalty I missed so I thought I would see what kind of response I would get from here.

See here for the suction mounts

The one I was looking at was the SM1 Camcorder Suction Mount at £75.95 seen below

The price arranged on Scoobyzone was £64.55 incl VAT, not including postage. I have yet to dicuss this with the company but I am sure that they will offer the same discount with an order of 10 or more.

Post here if you are interested and i shall see what I can do.

Neil.

I guess you mean the SC1 Camcorder Superclamp at £44.90 incl VAT? Group buy price might be £38.16 incl VAT

I'd definitely be interested in a suction mount, and I may persuade my brother into getting one as well....

Yeah, I ordered one on Scoobyzone and it's arrived, but I've not picked it up yet. Should have it in for Castle Combe this Saturday

Yes that's the one but they do it as a kit Suction Pad, Double Ball Bracket, Camera Plate, Extension Arm & Superclamp for 89.95 inc. Since you only need one Bracket. Either way I'm in but would prefer the kit

Cool

Just spoke to my brother and he is interested as well, so if the price is right you can chalk up two here (we'd probably prefer the kit although the suction mount would be the best alternative)

In all the instructions/guidance for Saturday @ Castle Combe it states that cameras are not allowed in car no matter how they are attached.

Is this a rule that is usually in place but usually ignored?

7 Foot - I think for an event such as this it will be enforced. I have been to other events at Castle Commbe and cameras were allowed then when it did NOT state it in the paperwork.

Got a reply back from B. Hague & Co. Ltd.

SM1 Camcorder suction mount £54.94 plus 9.61 vat, total £64.55.
SC1 Camcorder superclamp £32.48 plus 5.68 vat , total £38.16.
CMK CAMCORDER MOUNTING KIT £76.46 inc.vat (to be confirmed on this one)

There will also be a one off £12.50 carriage charge. - This will be split between all of us i.e. £2.50 each

Last time I was at Castle Combe there was filming allowed on the track, at the rally day event. I can't believe I bought a camera mount and won't be able to use it!!

The Rallyday video is great, and we want to repeat with another one

SPEN555 - The CMK is the SM1 (suction mount) and the SC1 (superclamp) together. I have no need for the superclamp as I will be solely using mine for in-car footage.

Updated list:

Nezz - SM1
VinneP - CMK
Iain Young - CMK x 2
Jack Clark - CMK
rb5 286 - ?
SPEN555 - CMK?

Thats seven three more needed

rb5 286 - In the CMK you get everything in the picture and the superclamp (for mounting to hard surfaces, chairs, tables etc). Guess you want a CMK then?

That should do it, I will buy tht eother two myself for now. I will ring them today and confirm everything then poeple can start sending the cheques off, dunno if they want the cheques sent to them or a one off payment from me, Will keep you all posted.
