Angry

Just picked up the car from the bodyshop, and they have taken the liberty of valeting the inside and spraying that **** cheap 'plastic shine' wet look stuff ALL OVER all of my plastics.

I am not happy.

Anyone know how long this stuff lasts or if there is a way of washing it off?

Wax wizzard does a non-silicone cleaner which might help ??

Bodyshops usually put plastic bags over the seats and paper on the mats AFTER they have done things !!

Gave it a really hard rub-down with a coarse towel which has helped a bit. Hoping it will fade in a day or two, if not then will have to call mark...

2nd vote for window cleaner, you want anything that'll cut through the waxy ****e that the monkeys use.

They did the same thing with the other half's Almera, you can't see a bloody thing in low sun!

I hate shiney dashboards at the best of times but it makes the Scoob interior look cheap

Amazing really, I'd just be grateful they took the time to clean it.
Damned if they do, damned if they don't.

There is now a matt finish cockpit (oor err) shine available from Halfords, could try this over the top of the shiny stuff.

Cheers guys, gonna try window cleaner...

Spoon, I appreciate 90% of customers would be happy, but I only ever use swissol / was wizzard stuff on my car, so when someone gets trigger happy with some cheapo Mcnasty plasti-shine, excuse me for being upset. Its not like it NEEDED cleaning, its almost new!!!

Cool

i hadnt cleaned it with anything in last 18months so i just put it down to sunlight, but may have been from wot had been used prior to my ownership . Currently using the swissol protector goodies after a bout of multiclean & it is returning it to more plush black/shiny state Just taking my time to try & get it uniform & pucker
