engine change--help needed
#1
Hi guys,
I am new to the forum and an infant to the subaru impreza, but this car is just an amazing mountain racer, i love it.
Currently i have the regular 1.8 liter from 1994.Now i want to buy an accident car1995 with a 2.0 turbo engine and put that engine with the rest on my car. I talked to some friends and they told me that my car's nest is too week for that engine.
So I want to ask if somebody knows if the producer made the carts of the two models different and should reinforce mine to put that beast workin.
And something else for which i will be very grateful: any idea where can i get the graphs-plans for the two models
thanks

Hi, welcome to the board
My suggestion would be to get a complete (stolen, recovered / wriiten off) car as a donor vehicle, this way you can have both cars side by side and swap any necessary parts during the transplant! It might be worth swapping the brakes and suspension over too, depending on their condition obviously!
Good luck with the conversion

Doh, I just re-read your post....just swap the subframe and engine mounts accross, I can't see why the shell of your car would be any different to a turbo one.
